LOADING PRESETS
In order to upload these presets in to your Ottobit X you must have a USB/ Midi cable to plug in to your pedal or a USB-C (with the latest update). Meris has a released their preEDITOR for the Mercury X, LVX, ENZO X, and Ottobit X. It is simple to navigate and you can reference their tutorial video on how to navigate it.

MAKING QUICK CHANGES TO PRESETS
Most of the presets have some settings that were saved in the bottom of the display screen (LF/RF) that you can quickly turn C1 or C2 to make changes to. I intentionally set the most relevant settings to the effect in those two bottom dials.
For example - WIDE TREM has LFO A DIV (sub division) on the left and LFO Shape on the right. This directly impacts your Tremolo experience. Changing the shape of the LFO to Square instead of Sine will give you a choppy tremolo experience. Triangle will give you a smoother and softer tremolo. The Sub Division modifier allows you to quickly cycle between subdivisions for the speed of the tremolo. This preset is saved to lock in to the global tempo so that it stays on time with your midi clock BPM that you send it. If you turn off the sub division entirely, it will resort to the LFO speed in Hz in the modifier section.
HOLD MODIFIERS
Many of these presets feature the use of the HOLD modifier. Reference the preset list above for which presets utilize a hold modifier or latching hold modifier.
GLOBAL SETTINGS
The biggest things to look out for are your midi clock being set to listen, if you have midi clock being sent. And for your Tempo Select to be set to GLOBAL. If it is set to PRESET, if you send a midi clock change, it wont properly respond. It will recall the tempo that you saved the preset to.
This being said, each preset also can be set to USE GLOBAL, FORCE LISTEN, or FORCE IGNORE. I usually just use USE GLOBAL, because I want it to listen to the midi BPM being sent to the pedal to lock in with my other pedals. If you don’t want this, you can always set your preset to FORCE IGNORE.
If you are using a guitar you want to be set to INSTRUMENT level. And you want to set your midi to MIDI THRU when you are just using your pedals. You usually only set it to MIDI OUT if you are editing on your pedal with the editor.
