BIO

I’m Kenyon Reed. I’m a guitarist based in Franklin, Tennessee, and most of my life has been spent chasing the kind of electric guitar tone that actually sits well in a song—live and in the studio thanks to being surrounded by incredibly talented engineers while in Redding.

I spent years in Redding playing electric guitar with Bethel Music and Bethel Church, then brought that same work here to Nashville. I still play on other people’s records and stages, and I make original music from time to time, with a current                    in the works. The credits on this page are those sessions: albums and projects where my guitar is in the track.

I’ve spent a long time with amps, pedals, captures, and presets—first through years of work with Tone Factor, now on my own site—so other players can get usable sounds without starting from zero. I also teach the practical stuff in                    I wish someone had handed me earlier: the Nashville number system, chords and inversions, how to think about a part instead of just being handed random chords, making the right choices with gear instead of just randomly collecting gear, and many more topics that would have solved years of struggle sooner.
